Oh yah! Another thing. The ice-cream cone from McDonald in S'pore has just been raised from 25 cents to 50 cents. Speculation says that it is due to increase in Oil prices which inevitably causes vegetable oil , used in the making of ice-cream, to also increase in price. Hmmm! How's tat?
GIVE ME BACK MY 25 CENTS ICE-CREAM!

Aliens died of FOOD POISONING!
Yes! Yes! YOu didn't hear me wrongly. Dun start rolling on the floor. Actualli in fact, i tot this is a beta title than the present one, The War of the World. My goodness! IT'S SUCH A LOUSY MOVIE AND IT'S DIRECTED BY STEVEN SPIELBERG. Wat's wrong with him? Age catching up on him? I have been long waiting for this movie ever since i watched the previews. I tot I'm in for a treat. But no....! Its plot is D-Grade, its special effects look cheap, the aliens are pathetic, human-beings are irritating and well, it just make my day. Once again wasted my money. Well! For those who are reading my blog, you may feel tat i had jus spoilt your day by saying all these. But i guess it's beta than 'spoiling' ur pocket. And i'm sure you will feel justified not to watch this movie after reading.
Ok! Let's start with the plot. The story is about aliens wanting to exterminate the whole earth. Hmmm! Sounds not bad! Then the aliens had a conspiracy. They knew man kind will populated the earth. So intelligently, before human start to live on earth, they came to earth, shovel a few holes, here and there and stuffed their 3-legged drive vehicle into the holes and covered them up. So they waited until 29 June 2005(honestly, i have no idea why they chose this day. Must be some kind of Carnival or Games day for the aliens), they sent their fighters into the 3-legged drive vehicle which was still buried in the ground thru lightning. Cool hah! So then they appeared out of their holes and start vapourishing every human in sight. My! My! That sound exciting. But in fact, i laughed at every scene of the vapourishing. But i just dun get it. If the aliens want to exterminate the earthlings, den why did they wait until the whole earth is populated den start to destroy them. Why didn't they just destroy the first pair of human being? That would save them so much time. And why did they hide their vehicles in holes way before human beings existed? Can't they just send their fighters into earth on the day of its attack? Arent' they afraid their vehicles may become obsolete since it has been buried for so many billion of years? Must be not cheap to park their vehicles in outer space. Ok! There could be an explanation why they onli attack now. It's becoz the aliens feed on human beings so they were waiting for the human beings to grow to a certain size then they start harvesting. Which they did later in the movie. But den why did they start vapourishin human beings at the start of the movie? Maybe I could explain tat. The vapourishing weapon was in fact their cooking appartus. They prefer to eat their food cooked. But i guess human's boiling point is way too low and we get vapourish upon being hit by their cooking device. SO without much choice, later in the movie, they had to resort to eating their food raw. Or maybe they are just like animals. They like to play around with their food before eating them. Hmmm! Either sounds perfect to me! #_#
Then the people in the movie is irritating. Firstly, when the aliens were sent to earth thru lightning, the lightning struck the ground. SO people start to 'kay po' and sight-seeing. Den when the earth crack open, they were still like there looking at it. Come on! Be realistic! People will be freaking out by then. So no need for me to tell you what happen after this. Alien came out start vapourishing them, panick here and there. Then TOm Crusie has to have 2 irritating kids. Her daugther Rachael, does nothing but screamed, screeched, freaked out while his son just act like an idiot. Hmmm! Then along the way comes a man who tries to be garang but jeopordising everybody's lives. Hmmm! ARGGGGGGGGHHHH!
And guess how the movie ended. The aliens died becoz of food poisoning, that's how i will put it. The food that we eat has certain immune system which the aliens can't adapt to. So in fact, they get sick and eventually their immune system failed and die. Woah! That's a cool ending. Actualli i guess the ending which was quite close to it. I tot it got to be the food they are eating. I tot they ate too much McDonald and end up having high cholestrol, den eating up the human beings who are filled with too much fats, illness, dieseases, and whatever you can think of. My! My! Who can survive after eating such unhealthy 'food'? Well i was close to the ending. Crap! If this movie ever fall into the hands of 'real' aliens, we are doomed. This is an ultimate insult to any outer space being if there are any to start with. I'm disappointed. Real disappointed. This is a cheat movie. I say this is just a movie to cash in on the profit. I still remember there's another movie on aliens which is crap too. Mars Attack! But at least the movie was honest. It was a Sci-fi, comical movie. War of the World is a Sci-fi, adventure thriller. Hmmm! Sci-fi. Yes yes . Adventure, well i still can manage to accept that. Thriller, are you sure? Wat's so thrilling? I laughed thru out the movie and not becoz it's funny, it's lame. Ok! I think i have say enough of the movie. It sound pretty interesting, won't you say so! Actualli if you do have the extra money, why not waste it on this movie. Definitely you will get 100% enjoyment in wasting money!

Sat - Mon (25 - 28 June)
Well! Well! Honestly, this June has passed by real quick. It seems like I had not done much and I am starting school in less than a week's time. Haizzzzzz! Just wish I had a bit more time to myself and do some reflections. A lot things on my mind, like why I am who I am, why i do somethings in certain ways, why i react do certain things, why I go into swing mood. And I feel one coming up very soon. Hmmmmm! Ok! (SLAP! SLAP!) XIAN JIE! GOT T O HOLD YOURSELF TOGETHER!
SAT:
Erh! Woke up, den went to do some 'work' at the PC. Den met William and Lydia for lunch. Went to Sarkura at Eastpoint. I really thank God for them, for being such wonderful mentors to me. They are very understanding and encouraging and most of all, wise in the Lord. They are kinda like my Aunt Agony. We meet on quite a frequent basis to update each other on what's happening. Accountability. Many a times, I will just freely pour out my problems and sorrows to them and they will really listen and give wise advise. Well today, updated them that I will be rejoining cell group soon. Need to do some clarification before joining one. And I have decided to join a Chinese Cell. It's going to be interesting. First time, I'm joining a non-English cell. It's going to be a new learning experience and also a chance to get to know the Chinese counterparts. Then after lunch, send Lydia back to church while I and William went off for coffee and tea where we share more intimate stuffs. Haha. Really poured out my heart, my frustration, my sorrow, my whatever lah onto him. Hehe! Me a very troubled boy. Won't go into much detail since it is personal and it most prob bored you out. Den after that, make a quick dash to Eastpoint again to buy birthday cake and Milo den went back to church for Saturday Svc. Today, no Youth fellowship but the YOuths are rostered to help out in the svc. Those who are trained in wheel-chair pushing are tasked to go up to the ward to bring the patients down for svc. I was appointed to bring down this lady , who had a fracture in her leg. She has been in the hospital for a month and is soon to be discharged soon. Then I stayed with her thru the svc and at the end of the svc, prayed for her and send her back to her ward. But she is one real independant person. There are times that she just wheeled herself away. Kinda give me a fright since i'm in charge of her. But den i guess she is just fine. Hehe!
After the svc, we had a debrief den had a birthday celebration. After that, went for dinner with Xin Ling, Yvonne and Jamie at TM food court. Then after that, went to buy fruit den went home.
Sunday:
ok! It's sunday. Svc again! I'm not sayin this with complaints but just tat time flies so fast. I have not even smell finished the weekdays and it's like weekend coming to an end. Haha! Got up and went to church. Attended the Chinese Svc. Rev Yong talks abt Faith, Hope and Love. Taken from 1 Corinthians 13:13, it talks about these 3 things but of all these 3 things, the most important is Love. Den after svc, had a worship practise for the upcoming YOuth Sunday svc. ok did pretty well but i think i had to lower my expectation. I am just being too idealistic. Not tat the teams are not playing well but just tat i have to set my targets at their level. And honestly, i feel communication between me and the muscians are still very weak. But i still give thks to God for everything becoz all things are made possible thru Him. After tat, waited for the 2nd svc to end, meet up with the rest and went for lunch. (Me, Joanne, Amelia, Si En, Xin Ling, Yvonne, Jamie) As usual, it's a painstaking experience. If you get a bunch of girls to decide where to eat, it is traumatising and worst, it is long. And i'm those who dun really like to be bother with making such decisions. SO eventually, i suggested we let the Lord decide. We toss coin. East Point. Food court. So went there and i saw this guy with a large portion of fish and chips and taken by my greediness, i ordered tat. But my portion was like only 2/3 of tat's guy's protion. Most prob the auntie thinks tat i shd be cutting on my intake. haha! Den after the meal, ordered desserts. Joanne ordered Red ruby, Amelia ordered Ice longan, and i ordered Egg beancurd. Den joanne her rubies a bit 'chao sheng'. Soury soury one. So i took the order back and told the auntie. She den took one of the rubies from her bucket and munch on it. After a second or two, she nodded in agreement and say got a bit sour so she say she will change for me using a new batch of rubies. Haha! You shd see the auntie's expression. Darn cute and funny. Nearly burst out laughing. Den i ordered one more dessert. Ginko Barley dessert. Not too bad. SLURP!!!!! After the dessert, went to Popular, buy some stuff and den went home. Took a cab so on the way drop Amelia. Den me reached home, and sleep. Yup.
Monday:
Woke up! Went online but can't remember wat i did. Yes! Yes! I was looking thru this website where they had videos from other countries. Very funny one. Then in the afternoon, went over to CCSS and meet Teng Sheng and Jannah. SUppose to go for movie but T.S not free. So instead we went out just for a meal at BK. Den after tat , went home. And den sleep again. Sleeping alot recently. Woke up for dinner. After dinner, went to sleep again. Haha! THen woke up at 8 plus. Did my exerciese. 1200 skippings and some sets of weight lifting. Hmm! I'm feeling fit. Yah rite. Then here I am updating my blog. Hehe! NOthing much happened today. HOnestly, as i say early on, feeling a bid down. Think tat something is goin to affect my quite badly. But i just have to trust in GOd. He is my strength, my fortress, my shelter. Let His love fills me so that my well will never be dry.

Yes! I remember some of the things that I forgotten
Yes! Yes! Now i remember what are the other things that I did. I watched 2 movies. First was Mr and Mrs Smith. I watched this movie becoz that day i simply was bored and this was the only show that was available at that time. Hmmm! Better than I expected. I tot i was in for a show of a couple with MDW. Ka boom here and there! But guess what? Only about 20% of the movie involves that. Finally one movie that tries to give substance in its plot. Well there was a twist at the near end of the movie and i will give a 3 1/2 stars out of 5 for the plot. The shooting scenes are abit lame where Pitt and Jolie were dancing-shooting. My goodness. Thkfully they didn't dance to the Para Para. Pretty entertaining and I would recommend people to watch if they are fans of either stars or they simply ran out of movies to watch. haha.
The next movie i watched was The Hitchhiker's guide to the galaxy. Guess wat? It's one of those another das that I had nothing to do and this was the only movie available at that time. Hehe! THIS IS REAL WASTE OF MONEY. LAME JOKE, STUPID SCI-FI THEORY, CHEAP ROMANCE, UGLY ALIEN-BEING, D- GRADE MOVIE. And the cinema was like only 6 of us in it. I'm sure the rest was feeling like erh erh erh. "Gong shi mi" (hokkien for 'wat are they talking abt') I think i will rest my case. You decide if you want to watch yourself.
And today went to watch Initial D with Daniel and Yvonne at TM GV. Didn't really know wat the movie is abt except tat it is abt racing and had Jay Chou and Edison in it. And Jay Chou is said to be a wooden-log actor. Haha. Well and yes true enough the show was abt racing. I will save your eyes from readin the story. You go watch the movie yourself
. Plot: */******
Humour ***/******
Acting skill requied */************************************************* hahahahahaha
Well tat's my opinion. YOu dun have to agree with me. Go and see it for yourself if you are not convinced.
Ok! Den what's inline for me. Madagascar. (not too much hope but i promised my frens we'll watch together)
Batman Begins (yes! yes! tat will be interesting to see why this hero decide to gear up his underwear-mask)
War of the World (has been long waiting for this movie. I want to see how Tom Cruise defeat the aliens)
Anymore shows. Hmmm! We shall see! So until den, keep your decision wise for now it is not cheap to watch a movie. So @#$#%#@ expensive. Weekday 7 bucks. Thursday 8 bucks. Weekend 9 bucks. ANd the POP CORN ARE 8 BUCKS. MY GOODNESS. ONE FINE DAY, I THINK IT WILL BE CHEAPER FOR ME TO TAKE A TRAIN TO JB TO WATCH A MOVIE. OR MAYBE NEXT TIME YOU NEED A COE TO BE ENTITLED TO WATCH A MOVIE. Ok! Ok! I'm cool. I'm calm. take a deep breath. Haha!

Next thing
Actualli i tot i got lots of things to update but i guess i'm wrong. Age is catching up and the brains dun seems to function like before. It is taking way too much nap and way too long to think. Ai yah! I remembered i was studying v hard for my exams. Puke! I just feel that I'm better off as a farmer or peasant somewhere else in the country side. Peace and quiet. Easy-going. Singing in the fields. (well i'm not very sure if that will affect the crops' growth) Milking the cows. Staring into the diamond-filled sky. Wow! What a beautiful sight! And i guess the pasture is always greener on the other side. IF i was really tat farmer, I most probably complained that life is so routine and boring and really hope I could go out into the world and exposed myself to all the challenges. Life is a paradox, if one is not contended. SO i guess, it still best to be contended and give thanks to God for everything becoz God knows the best for us.
Ok! I remember i miss the youth camp at All Saints' Church becoz of my exams. It was an evangelistic outreach camp and i had always wanted to go to such camp, firstly to encounter the work of God and secondly, to learn how to run such camp. And also i just love to see people responding to God and going forth to accept Christ. It's not so much of self-satisfaction but i rejoice with the Angels when children of God return back to Him. But some of the youths went down as assistant leaders. And I really pray that God has done some 'things' in their life too. I hope that they dun go for such camp, enjoy the 'sensation' and then it is lost. But I prayed that the Lord will touch their hearts and really feel the compassion to spread His word. You dun need to be an evangelist to evangelise. In our daily life's encounter with our loved ones, let's us seize that opportunity to show them the Light.
Yes! the next thing is the family camp. It was from 12 June- 15June. As i had a paper on 15, i could onli stayed until 14June. First nite was relatively free and easy. Had a youth gathering at nite, den after tat, stayed a bit longer in Daniel's room to watch Ru Hua! haha! Evil! Den next morning was a hectic day for me. In fact, I considered a horrendous day for me. I was supposed to lead worship for the morning and evening session. And during the morning ice-breaker, I acted too garang and shouted at the top of my voice to create atmosphere. Yah rite. Act smart and act cute! Ended up i lost my voice and i couldn't lead worship but have no choice. I lead with such broken voice that i felt like ending my life. Well! NOt much of choice. Carried on leading. Then followed by Rev. Wong's message about Affirming our brothers and sisters in Christ. After that, we had lunch and went to the Theme Park. Went to the dry one. First time taking theme ride and very excited. Of all the rides, the Lost in the Gold City and the Tomahawk were the best. In fact, Tomahawk was the killer. It rotates 360 degree. I nearly puke. Drank too much during lunch. Then some of the youths v funny. Xin Ling was like "MA MI, I WILL NEVER DARE TO TAKE THE RIDE AGAIN". Oh my goodness. I tot she broke out into tears. Den thankfully every ride, i sat with Ding Yi. Becoz both of us are of substantial volume and when we sit together, we kinda act as cushion for one another and we restricted each other from moving about too much in the seats. haha. After tat we went to take 3 water rides. COol man! I'm loving it. But after the rides, i regretted taking it. I shouted too much AGAIN! Well you shd know wat that means. Den I had injured my back before and the rides are real bad for the back. End up having a slight back pain. So I shdn't say much abt the Evening worship svc. Den there was ministry time and i wasn't prepared and i didn't have enough songs. OH! MY! What a mess! But thkfully David was there to salvage. Despite all these big 'hu ha', i still give thks to God for His grace and mercy. Then tat nite didn't go for supper becoz was a bit down. Dun know why. Not sure if it is becoz of the worship session but somehow i felt that i went to the camp not well prepared. I meant more on the Spiritual side. That's something for me to take note when i go for camp again. The heart and spirit must be right.
Then next morning, after the morning session and the games, I left with David and Veron. Reached S'pore abt 6.30pm. Then slept and woke up to study for exams.
Actualli, those youths who are out there reading my blog. I just wan to tell you something. I have been trying to teach you all something. Though i did it discreetly but it is actually quite frequent so it is not tat hard to miss. And i say this with no pride that i also do it by example. And i hope you all can see it and its value and you yourself embrace that value. I won't tell you what it is. The only clue i will give is that I do it after nearly every major events. I ask last year youth mission team members to do SOMETHING for some people after the trip. I ask most of the youths to do SOMETHING for some people after the Easter Outreach. I ask the youths that went for the camp to do SOMETHING to someone. I did something to the people who help out in the WOrship during the camp. I hope you all can see that value becoz it may not matter much to you but it matters alot to other people. And i guess this is the first lesson we learn during the camp - Affirmation. Well! it's for you to go and figure out. And if you want an answer, you can always check with me. No prize for right answer!

I'm back with alot of missing things in my life
Woah! Finally, I'm back and I just love to update on all the missing things during my absence of about a month. BUt guess what? I dun seemed to be able to remember most of the things. I think i can only update according to what i can recall and it may not be in the right order. Hehe. Let me see!
I could remember the Crossroad Adventure. Held on one of the saturdays. Basically it is a competition where the teams have to compete to finish the food race. But the trick to the game is you got to link the last word of the food to the first word of the next food. And it goes on until the last and final dish. The first 4 dishes were pre-fixed. Maybe i introduce my team. My team got Ding Yi, Xin Ling, Yvonne, Jamie, Joanne. Within our own team, we played UNO and the loser of the round will get to miss one of the dish. COol! Then the first dish was to go to Bedok Central and look for a Holloywood Dessert stall. Suppose to eat Chendol. I kinda of cheated. I 'ta bao' (packet) the chendol, took the next clue and left with my team. Charles had to call me and tell me gently that that was against the rule. I cheekily smiled and said I dun know. Haha! Then the next stall was at Upper East Coast Road. Suppose to eat Yong Tau Fu but the stall is closed. So ended eating Thosai. Expensive boy! One normal thosai cost us 4 bucks. After the thosai, we move further down to a Chicken Rice Stall where we eat their Steam fish with bean sauce. Waited for quite a while but it's worth the waiting. Splendid dish, i would have to say. But not cheap! A small slice for 5 bucks. Then we headed for our last pre-fixed dish Katong Laksa. Ok not too bad. Eaten a few times so nothing special. Then we got our last clue. Ginger -based soup Rice Ball. Anyway the game is played in Mandarin. So from now and the next 3 dish, we must link the first word of the dish to the next and goes on until the 9th dish must end up as the Ginger-based soup Rice Ball. Well my group wasn't very imaginative, so we keep it simple and our first dish is Coarse Suger, den followed Sweet, den Chilled-Fruit Juice, Chilled Soya Bean Milk, which den the last dish was at Bedok North. By the time we reached there, we tot tat we may be the third or fourth. But to our surprise, we were first. Haha. Then after tat, we headed off to the final destination where we will have BBQ for dinner. Erh! After such a hectic race, i'm not sure if my 'warehouse' is ready to store any more things. 10min after reaching the venue, the next team came in and another 5 the next. Then we kinda waited for another hour before the rest of the teams came in. I guess they all tried to be too creative. Becoz teams with creative items on their list will get extra bonus point. After BBQ, the results were announced. Though my team came in first we didn't get first becoz there was a team who got the bonus point for their extraordinary dish, Claypot-frog legs. Haha. Maybe i shd have gone for Steam fish with earthworm kinda dish. Haha. But honestly, it wasn't really important for me to win the race or not. But from this race, I was very pleased to hear 2 things. Initially, when the group was formed, i jokingly told my team members that i nvr won a race, just like the previous race, Amazing Race! Everybody laughed at the remarks except for Ding Yi. He told me and i believe quite seriously, that this time will be different becoz this time the team has me and him. Both of us will make a difference. I was really touched by what he said and also very proud becoz of his confidence. Then another thing was during the race, I briefly mentioned that the next time the organiser shd organise on a bigger scale den it will be more fun. Then some of my team members replied saying that it's no point for them becoz by the next time, they would have most probably been put in charge to run the race. I thank God that they see a continuity in themselves in the YOuth Ministry. The youth ministry will not end with the Youth advisor but they the youths are starting to see a need to carry on the good work that God has started in the Youth Ministry. I praised the Lord for such thoughtful and selfless youths.
