Last Official Update (till my exams are over)

Well! I haven't been really updating but just keep posting things that are funny. Haha! Honestly not in the mood to update since this period of my life is boring and routine. Starting to prepare myself for exams. Going to change my whole lifestyle. Going to study fr 4am - 6pm with breaks and meals in between. Den fr 8pm to 4am, Sleep! Why i choose to study fr 4am? Becoz that's when everybody is deep in their lala land and no one will be able to disturb me Haha. Den when everybody start to wake up, I'll move myself to church to study. THkfully church has quiet place to study. But really hate it. Everybody is more or less into their holiday, and i have to start mugging. Haiz...! And also very proned to going into mood swing during this period. Year end is coming! 1 year has passed since I talked to HIM about that issue. Will HE answer me?? Why worry over things that I have no control. But start worry over how to control myself and make myself study. Well! Today was helping Sam to play bass. Hehe! Out of fun, I decide to doll up myself. Wore a white shirt, brown jeans with a jacket. Look pretty formal, i will say. Den everybody ask me why i dress until like tat. WHy! cannot is it! Do i look like a freak? Haha! I'm cranky. But when playing bass, the Furman set got problem, everybody is coming out nicely fr my set but my bass. Always got the "koropok" sound, cracking all the way and I couldn't hear properly and just couldn't keep in beat. Den after a while, totally no sound. Gave up. Just played without the set. Not too bad but quite disappointed with the quick song becoz I couldn't hear and I know I wasn't in beat. Everytime i play the bass, something will happen. Or is it me? Haha! Den sat in the Youth Camp Committee Meeting. Looks like everything going smoothly. Den after 2nd svc, went will William and Lydia for lunch. After which, they send me home. I decided to go down early to Anglican High to play basketball. Also to get my stomach warm up. Ate lunch too late, den have to start to digest the food. So after playing basketball, join the soccer. The lunch was really a bad idea. After warming up, couldn't run or else really become Merlion. Den after warm up, had a match. Uncle team vs the YOuth team. I was playing for the Uncle team. Last week, lost by a margin of 4-0. I was the keeper. Today, Uncle team won by 5-4. Yes i let in 4 goals again. But am i lousy or what! No lah! Just that in an Uncle team, there's some 'restrictions' which worsen as the games progress. haha! And every match, I will end up with at least a collision which you will see my down on the ground, grabbing my head. It's always not tat serious but I tend to 'exaggerate' it more since there's no referee. But den having say this, i dun fake my collision or injury. And also did a boo boo. While saving the ball, I elbowed myself in my own rib. And it was full force. After saving that ball, I was on the ground in pain. Stupid man! So after the match went to Bedok Blk 85 to makan again. Li BOey brought some bee hoon and we ordered some Otah, Chicken wing, Carrot cake, egg Oyesters. There goes to all the calories that was burnt. Haha! Den after that took bus 17 home. Well! That's about all for today. And i guess i won't be updating much until after my exams. ARRRGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! I can't wait till exams are over. I'm looking forward to YOUTH CAMP!

MOOD ANALYSIS TEST

You are constantly hoping that your good fellowship and attitude and your 'love for your fellow man (or women)' will give you peace of mind. You need people - people around you to care for you and to show you that they care. It is this hope that keeps you going, the hope that makes you the type of person that indeed you are. Your own need for approval seemingly makes you always ready to help others and in exchange you seek love, warmth and understanding. You will always listen to others and you are open to new ideas which hopefully will prove fruitful and interesting.

Rejection is what you fear the most and it is this fear that makes you unapproachable. You are looking for acknowledgement and above all looking for people who can appreciate you for who and what you are.

There are times of everyone's life when 'compromise' is the name of the game and this is the time, so you have no alternative but to forgo some pleasures for the time being. You are capable of achieving satisfaction through physical activity.

All the distress and agitation is the result of attempting to avoid any form of stimulation or excitement. The situation in which you find yourself at this time is one of hostility and therefore you are under considerable pressure. You are very irritable and prone to angry outbursts. You are in a mental quandary and you could be experiencing physical problems. You are very distressed by the apparent hostility of everyone around you and you feel coerced and subjected to intolerable pressures. You are resentful of what you regard as unreasonable demands on you but the situation is such that you feel powerless to control it and at this time you just don't know 'which way to turn'.

You feel utterly wretched - worn out. The demands that other people have been making on you have depleted your strength and stamina. You feel powerless to try to remedy the situation on your own and you are looking for what is hopefully known as 'divine intervention'. But be assured your salvation lies in yourself - you have the ability so use it.

Try it for yourself:

11 -12 Oct (Tues-Wed)

11 Oct (tues)

Today went to church at abt 10 plus. Actually wanted to study but realised church was having another Bazaar Sale in the hospital ground. So ended up helping with the stalls. Den while tending to the stalls, i went to look at the jewelry section. Den i spotted 2 earrings which i liked so bought them. Giving 1 to my sis. Hehe! Had a quick lunch. Den move the stalls to 2nd floor outside the Chapel. There is a Elderly svc that afternoon in the Chapel. Den the aunties and uncles all very generous. BOught a lot of things. Thk God everything went pretty well. By the time we finished, it was nearly 4pm.

12 Oct (wed)

Today it's not my day. Wanted to go to church study. So reach church abt 10pm. Den realised something. I step on a piece of real darn, incredibly, unbelievably, superbly, indescribable of shit. Yo! BINGO! Stink up the whole place. Den wash also cannot wash away the smell. So end up have to go home and change my shoes. By the time i was done and back in church, an hour was gone. 11am. Xian! I was too distracted to study. so end up nvr study. Den went for lunch and went to CCSS. Only Jannah turned up and she needed help in Chem. I haven't touched chem since sec sch. That's 8 yrs. Haha! But thkfully, i was able to recall bits and pieces of the subjects. Taught her Ions, Ionic Bonding, Covalent Bonding. Muahaha! After that, she went back and i went to Eastpoint to buy some grocery and den went home. Den have to wash that shoes and i think i have to dry it for a few years before i can wear it again.

SUNDAY

Yayyyy! IT'S SUNDAY! Pretty excited. This afternoon we are having our Bazaar Sale and Parish Dinner. Went to svc in the morning. Was at the Chinese Svc and Arch-Deacon Seow was the preacher. Talking about balancing Grace and Truth. Funny! I though Rev Yong talked abt this theme last week. Hmmm! But still very enlightening as he brought up his perspective. Left svc a bit early to go finish up the pdt for the Bazaar. After 1st svc, I needed to go Eastpoint to get some cardboard. So was asking around if anyone goin for lunch but den everyone seems like have some other things to do. So at the end, alone i went to Eastpoint. Didn't eat. Just collected the cardboard, run some errand and went back to church. Den met some of the youths who were having their meeting for the Youth Camp. As i was busybody, i sat in to hear their meeting. I'm pretty impressed. Actually this is an understatement. They were really independant. William wasn't able to make it and they ran the whole show by themselves. Fantastic man! Praise the Lord! After the meeting, did some more stuff before going to Expo with Leng Leng. Den met Xing Ni and Eleanor and went for lunch. 3 of us very cartoon. There were a few eatery outside Expo Hall 2-5 and we walk fr one end to the other end and den finally walk back to the start. Ate at this noodle shop. Pretty nice. Den also added some side dishes. And thk you to Xing Ni. 1 free meal. Muahahaha! Den as we walked back to the area for the Bazaar Sale, saw that a group of the Chinese Congregation, all ready to unpack their barang barang on the table. Haha! I also started to unpack, den the rest came and help with the posters and the sales. Even before the official start, sale started. We were selling bouquets of paper roses, phtot taking and printing svc, cards, fridge magnets, chocolate, cookies, wired name tag. Woah! Pretty much items. Auntie Khim was baking the cookies and she was late. I tot she forgot the time. But when she came, her cookies went out pretty fast. Hot cakes or rather cookies. Den the next best was chocolate followed by the fridge magnet. The photo taking took up slowly. But at the end, have to rush the work. The cards were beautifully crafted by Emily. My goodness! Really fabulous. But den have to charge at a realistic price, so may be a bit pricy to others. But we still did sell a number of it. Well as you can see, i haven't talked about the roses i made. Bad news for it. Didn't went too well. Firstly, there's another group selling single stalk which is much afforadable. Secondly, all the guys out there are all practical men. They would rather get $10 worth of food den to buy the flowers. Oh woe to the world. Where are the romance and the enthuasiasm? Haiz....! Haha! Talking rubbish. But honestly i wasn't even too bothered by it. I didn't even go and lelong it. I just left it at oneside. Then when the Bazaar ended, everyone went in for dinner. I gave a bouquet to all the girls and den the youths took a group photo. Claudia was stil busy with printing the photos so i stayed back to help her. Den Dan and Nat came out to help a bit. By the time everything was done, the dinner had gone into the 3rd course. I was suppose to sit with the youths but den last min, some hiccups, i gave up my seats and sat with another table. That table's pple i know but somehow i would still prefer to sit with the youths. Can identify better. Den somehow i felt i was alone again. Dun know why i always feel like that. Not the 1st time. Many many times. But den every time i was always reminded by the Spirit. That when i chose to walk with Him and to walk even deeper with Him, there will be times when i will track onto path where there is physical emptiness but den His promise is He is always with me. Somehow it felt better after this assurance. So everything went smoothly, dinner was good. But honestly was real tired. After dinner, still have to help to clear the logisitcs. So pack up and went back to church to offload the barang barang. Den Chong Khai was with us and he asked if i could give him a bouquet of rose. Haha! Well! Why not! So gave him. Wonder what he do with it. Which girl will benefit from the roses. Haha! Ok! Den after this walked home. ANd really tired. Yawnnnnn! Just want to give thks to God for by our own strength we will nvr be able to accomplish anything. By His grace and His love, we know we can pull thru any situation. Praise be to Adonai!

Eventful Saturday!

Yes today Saturday! Dun know whether to be happy or not! It's the start of the day to meet up with church's frens but also signifies the coming a new weekday! But i still really thk God! Ever since the Youth Ministry has been officially formed, life seems so much meaningful. I looked forward to every weekend coz there's a clearer purpose for me. And I do truly enjoy the fellowship. Today have to go church and finish up the goods for the Bazaar Sale. Suppose to meet at 2pm. I was in church by 11am. Haha! So went around finding things to do. Cleared some food in the church office pantry cupboard. Went to 7-Eleven and bought this funny roll which cost me $1.50 and was left with $1.70 in my pocket. So poor! And it taste quite funny but who cares! So went back to church and went to play the keyboard. How i wish i really know how to play the keyboard. Tried playing but somehow as usual, cannot keep in beat. Hmmmm! But keyboard really very nice. Must get a gf who knows how to play keyboard den save me the trouble of learning myself. Muahaha! Den attended the Chinese Congregation Worship practice. Den at about 1.20pm, went to draw key for the OLO room and brought all my barang barang over. Then Jason, Colin and Samantha came. Then followed by I can't remember who! I know at the end, got one big crowd. Some did the cross, some did the 'name' wire thingy, some did the chocolate. Den Charles, William and I were trying to come up with the pricing. It is really interesting. What I learn in Econs, Mgt and Accounting, some how or rather, i was able to apply something fr it. Den finally did pack up at abt 6pm. Actually wanted to end with a time of prayer to pray for our church and ourself but it was a bit overtime. So packed up and was going to leave. Den Karen came and requested for some help. Apparently the church's cleaners didn't set up the chairs in the MPH for tomorrow's svc. So had to help to move the chairs and arrange. Thkfully everybody was quick. I guess everybody was hungry. After we were done, we left for Tampines for dinner. Wanted to go to TM foodcourt but still under renovation. Then went to Long John Silver. Ate a 2 piece chicken, upsize with additional coleslaw. Well! It was a bit too much. I felt like regurgitating my food. So after dinner went with Daniel to look for formal shoes. So he went Hush Puppies first den i suggested to go Isetan. Went to Isetan, he tried on one of the shoes. Den while he trying, I spotted a pair that i like. Velvet kind of material and brown in colour. Somemore on discount. $79 to $39. Muahahaha! Tried on the a size 45 and fitted well. At the end, Daniel didn't buy his but i bought mine. So went back to Hush to look again. Ariz now suggest go Century's Metro. So walked over but Dan found nothing he like so went back to Hush again and again. Haha! So he tried on the pair that he like. Fitted well! So paid for it. How much? $115. Woah! Rich man! Me buy shoes on offer one. Haha! Anyway Darren was also with us. Oh yah! Another thing was Dan didn't wear socks so he borrowed the pair that i was wearing. And he was wearing a short. So imagine him in short and a pair of formal leather shoes with brown-black strip ankle socks. My my! Ariz, darren and me had a good laugh boy! So after that, both Dan and I are satisfied and home we go! Yawn. Going to be a long day tomorrow. But going to be an eventful day as well!

3 - 7 Oct 2005 (Mon - Fri)

3 Oct (Mon)

I only check my timetable on Sunday evening. And i just realised something. I dun have sch this week as well. My lecturer still overseas. Muahaha! Actually i needed this break not so much to rest or slack but rather to rush finish the consignment for this coming Sunday's Bazaar Sale. But i tot i would take a rest for today. Hmmm! Well so didn't do anything at all.

4 Oct (Tues)

My memory is failing me. I think i went to Bugis in the morning to get my ribbons and wrapping again. Den after tat, dun know why i was feeling sick again, so took a cab back to church. Den started with the flowers. 30 bouquets! My goodness! What was i thinking of. haha! During lunch, got the honour to drive out to eat claypot rice. Hmmm! My driving skill not too bad, manage a 3point turn effortlessly, manevoured my way up a spiral carpark. The parking was good but when we return back, i park badly in the church's carpark. Need to repark for at least 3 times. Haha! Den carried on with the flowers. Well! Stop work at 5.30pm and went home.

5 Oct (Wed)

Yes i'm back in church for the flowers again. Carried on folding and wrapping. Den i think i left at about 4pm and went to play basketball. really need to take a break fr the flowers.

6 Oct (Thur)

I'm back again. More flowers. Thankfully, today was a satisfying day. I finished 19 bouquets. 11 more to go.

7 Oct (Fri)

TOday was an eventful day. Went to church to finish up the last touches. Yayyy! 30 bouquets done before 2pm. However, 8 of them i dun have fitting ribbon so i had to go and buy it. I was contemplating if i shd go to Bugis or go to Simei and try my luck. Bugis too far so i went to Simei. Not much of luck. So decide to go Tampines. So took train to Tampines. Den suddenly had this... what do you call that feeling...erh.... there's a word for it...... it's call RETAILTHERAPHY! haha! I tot since i'm here, as well do some shopping. So went to Sports Connections and now i have a new members to my series of bags. Den I went to Royal Sporting HOuse to buy this exercise equipment. Den went to Life Bookshop and got 2 CDs. I paid it partially off using the vouchers i had for my birthday. Dun mistaken me. I was looking hard for the ribbons as well. There wasn't any in TM so i went to Century Square. I found one shop that sells it but it was too expensive. 1m for $1.20. I needed about 8m. No way am i going to spend that kind of money. So i carried on looking. Century Square also fail me. So I decided to try the shop houses. I walked one big round and still in vain. Den as i was coming to the end of the shophouses and as i was going to give up and go back to church, i found 1 shop that has the ribbons. For tat moment, my unwanted nature appeared. I really wanted to curse and swear. Make me walk all around and only to find it at the last shop. But den i think again, why did i think in such a way. I shd give thks to God becoz even when i was giving up, He led me to the shop that has the ribbons. Yes it may be tiring but den again i still manage to do some retailtheraphy. That instant moment, my agony turn into joy. Then also God reveal to me the names for my bouquets. I have 3 colours, Red, Orange, Blue. Red for LOVE, Orange for JOY, Blue for PEACE. haha! So went back to church and do up the last 8 bouquets and yayyyy! Done! Finally! Hurray! WOrld peace! Joy to the world! I'm becoming cranky. Den i move on to another consignment, Fridge Magnet. I bought some Magnet Sheet and was cutting them into smaller cubes. Paste behind the design and test if the magnet was strong enough. Hurray! The magnet stayed where it was. All was done by 6pm. Thk God for He is good. Praise be to God!

30 - 2 Sep 2005 (Fri - Sun)

30 Sep (Fri)

Well as i have said the day before, suppose to go Ikea to look for my materials to use to make things to sell at bazaar sale. So left house at about 9.50am. Reach Queenstown MRT at 10.30am. Then walk over to Ikea. I always find myself very funny when i go to Ikea. The starting floor is always on the 2nd floor and you will make your way down to the ground floor to pay up. But for me, i always start fr the ground floor and as you can see, i'm the only one walking against the flow of the traffic. But who cares rite? I was looking for this beads that you arrange on a template and iron over a paper to melt the beads to form the pattern. And i bought ths beads nearly 3 yrs ago. Haha! I tot tat Ikea will be stupid enough to still have the stocks. Guess what? I'm the stupid one. Well they didn't have the beads and actualli i tot and hope tat i can find something interesting. Nah! Nothing! Honestly quite a waste of trip. So after an hour of walking in Ikea, left the place and went to Bugis to buy more ribbons and wrapping papers. So after that (erh... while i'm typing this, i took a hard few minutes to recall what i did later, as you can see, age is really catching up) went to church to do some stuff. Helped Eleanor to wrap the pots of cactus for the bazaar sale. Den at abt 5pm met up with Ariz to buy stuff for the BBQ later in the evening. I always wanted to try doing eggs during BBQ! So i bought some eggs den also added bacon to the shopping list. YUMMY! Den went over to the BBQ place, took quite a while to set fire den the rest came, (anyway the BBQ is for Darren's birthday) den i tried bbqing the eggs. First time round end up half boiled egg becoz fire not hot. Den 2nd time was a bit more successful. So next time round, eggs for BBQ! This time round, i decide not to do any of the BBQ! I have been doing this job eversince i had attended the 1st BBQ. It's time for the big chef to take a back seat and let the younger ones serve me. Muahahhahhahha! Well they did a pretty job and the food was cooked and edible. But i realised this trend. There are more guys at the pit den girls. Actually i'm too kind with my words. There weren't any girls except for Samantha. The girls were at one corner enjoying the atmosphere while waiting for the food. Ok ok! I think I'm hearing some defence fr the girls. No dun get me wrong, i'm not saying it's wrong. All i say it's the trend. Yes! yes! The pit is dirty. Or, i dun know how the BBQ food and afraid the food not cook. Well keep these excuses coming! My advise to the guys out there, want to survive, learn how to cook! After BBQ, was real dead tired, took cab home with Amelia and James. Reached home, took a quick bath and knock out!

1 Oct (Sat)

CHildren's Day! YAAAYYYYAYYYYYY! I'M SO not EXCITED! GOSH! TIME FLIES TOO FAST! GIVE ME A BREAK! COULD I STOP GROWING FOR JUST 2-3 YRS? Haha! Today also my dad's birthday! So going to eat Dim Sum. Then have to rush back to church to meet the youths to do the craft work for the bazaar sale. So was a bit late. Den started to do the bead crafts. Need them to arrange the beads on the template to form cross. So at first none wanted to do the arranging. All just sorting the colours. Den finally W.Y started arranging follow by Soo Fern and Xin Ling. Den W.Y's creative juice start to ooze out and she came up with different design and called it hers limited edition. Really very nice and I'm sure she WILL (BETTER) buy it! Den Ariz was doing heart shape. We call it Ariz's Heart. Den while they did the hearts, i was making the roses. So after about nearly 4hrs, we did nearly 100 crosses and i finished about 20 roses. Still have a fair bit more to go. Next saturday! Den after that went to Eastpoint's Popular to buy magnet sheet. Went home, watch a bit of TV and went to sleep!

2 Sep (Sun)

Went church at about 8am. Den tried to finish up a bit on the remaining roses. Den went to Chinese Svc. Today's topic is on Grace and truth. Wasn't really paying attention but roughly know what was being preached. Talking about Grace that it is something we receive but yet not wat we deserve. Then talked about Truth that the world now holds a view of that there's no absolute. The truth is in what one believes. But for us as Christian we know the Truth is in God's word! Well! People out there think that there's no absolute but what i can tell you is that even then there's still 1 absolute and tat's tat we all will die. Eat that! Muahahahah! Sorry no offence to anyone, i'm just being cheeky! Den afte svc, rush off with Jeff and family and my sis to catch Stomp. Yes! Stomp is in S'pore! Had lunch and went to Durian world! (ESPLANADE) My my! The performance is first class. They are simply fabulous. The rhythm, the beat, the instruments, every bit of the performance was brillant. And humour is definitely not left out. They have this Asian girl in the team and she will always be the 'clown' of the team. I kinda pity her. But one comment and that is that S'poreans shd watch more plays and learn when not to clap and when to clap. And also to learn to interact with the performers. Learn to read their body language. My goodness! Honestly a bit disgraceful! Clapping at the wrong time, doing the wrong things that the performer is trying to get us to do! Ai yoh! Well as i said the performance is captivating and fabulous. I'm running out of words to describe it. Haha! After the performance, went home and sleep! Really very tired! So I guess that's about it.
