Life is so fragile. I had witnessed a car accident on Sunday. Right in front of my eyes. I saw it coming, The motorist was going straight from the opposite direction. The car in front of us turn right. The motorbike was heading right head on into the turning car. And Ka Boom. My heart sank. My mind froze. I didn't know how to react. Was the motorist dead? He was lying on the road. Uncle Thomas who was in the front seat immediately left the car to assist the motorist. I didn't know why but I also left the car to help. Thomas was checking on the motorist. I didn't know how I could be of any help. So I just stand and diverted the traffic. The motorist was alive but from his moaning, he seemed to be in great pain and shock. After a few minutes, he managed to sit up and make his way to the side of the road. A few more men came to help. We removed the bike. The front wheel was bent 90degree that the only way to move it was to carry it. The ambulance arrived in less than 5 minutes and attended to the motorist. The driver of the car was there too. He claimed he didn't see the motorist. After the paramedics had taken care of the motorist, we left.
I was still in disbelief. I saw it happening. In a split of a few second, the bike smashed into the car and the motorist was thrown off his bike. Thank God that both vehicles were travelling at quite a slow speed. If not, the motorist would have been flung a distance. Life is so fragile. Sometimes in life, we can be very careful with our life but yet when others are not careful, it may endanger others. So be careful. And be responsible as well.
